Welcome to American Art Images. We are proud to present our Genuine Werthan image
collection. These images have come from the Original Antique Printer Proofs discovered in the Historic Werthan Bag Co., located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. We have approximately 10,000 antique printer proofs
that were special copies that printers kept that showed exactly what was printed on the burlap and white-cotton fabric bags used for packaging foodstuffs such as sugar, seeds, beans, meal and milled flour. All of
this colorful antique art dates back from the early 1900s. The artwork is wonderful and depicts an era of “Classic Americana” that we won’t see again. The entire collection has just become available for
licensing.
Our antique artwork may be licensed and used “as is” as a retro-design or it can be
adapted and color enhanced and customized without losing the “nostalgic character” so that it can be used on many products in various categories. Also, visit www.printerproofs.com for a history of how the proofs were discovered and to enjoy
